Board committees

The NZTA has five Board committees, made up of the agency’s Board members.

Each committee has between three and four members, including a committee chair.  Committees have a quorum of 3, including the chair. 

Members are appointed by resolution of the Board, on the basis of their skills, knowledge and experience in the relevant committee’s subject. 

Committees have a terms of reference, with specific purposes, accountabilities and delegations and they report to the Board at the relevant forthcoming Board meeting. 

All minutes of committee meetings are reported to the Board with recommendations as appropriate. 

The State Highways Board Committee and Strategic and Investments Board Committee meet monthly, with the other three committees meeting every two to three months.
