The NZ Transport Agency Board

The NZ Transport Agency Board is a statutorily-appointed Board, appointed by the Minister of Transport and it consists of up to eight members.  The chair is Brian Roche and the Board meet monthly, each February to December. 

The Board combines strong skills and expertise in governance, the transport sector, the establishment of major organisations, finance, and an understanding of local government. 

The Board members are:

NZ Transport Agency board committees

The NZTA has five board committees, comprised of the agency’s Board members. The five committees are:

  • State Highways Board Committee
  • Investment and Programmes Board Committee
  • Regulatory Board Committee
  • Audit, Risk and Assurance Committee
  • Remuneration and Human Resources Committee.
