The government wanted your views as part of the development of Safer Journeys, a road safety strategy to take New Zealand through to 2020.
The government asked for public feedback on a discussion document that outlines key road safety issues, and proposed actions for addressing them. Submissions closed on 2 October 2009.
The comments and views the Ministry receives will be used to develop the final strategy, Safer Journeys, to be released this December. This will be a guiding document for road safety, and will identify a mix of interventions for improving road safety.
