Making a submission
Before making your submission
Please read DRAFT advertising signs - context for public comments.
Send your submission by email or post
When emailing or posting a submission, please include the following information:
- the title 'Advertising signs'
- your name, and title if applicable
- your organisation’s name if applicable
- your address – postal, and email if applicable.
If posting your submission, please write clearly or, preferably, send typed comments.
Email submissions to: info@nzta.govt.nz (and, if you wish, follow this up with a signed copy).

Your submission is public information
Please indicate clearly if your comments are commercially sensitive, or if, for some other reason, you consider they should not be disclosed.
Format of submissions
When making comments it would be appreciated if you could follow the general outline shown below.
Outline for submissions on Advertising signs
A. General comment
- Any general comment about the coverage, presentation, etc.
B. Specific comment
- It would be appreciated if the comments could be structured in the same order as the document.
- Where comment relates to a specific paragraph, please reference the paragraph number as this will greatly assist with the analysis of the responses.
- When commenting on an issue please suggest how your comment might be suitably addressed.
