Context for public comments

Background

This draft volume Direction, service and general guidance signs isone of a number that will make up the Traffic control devices manual (the TCD manual)The TCD manual will provide guidance and standards for using traffic control devices to manage traffic.  It will combine and replace many existing New Zealand-based documents, in particular the Manual of Traffic Signs and Markings, and provide links to others.  The manual will also complement the Austroads series of guides (under preparation) by providing detailed or specific New Zealand practices not included in those documents.
