High community interest for Northern Corridor Project

|

The NZ Transport Agency is thanking the community for making the time to attend and provide their feedback at the community open days on the Northern Corridor Improvements last week.

“The comments we’ve had on these concepts has been positive, and we’ve had a great response from those in attendance about such early engagement,” says the Transport Agency’s Highway Manager Brett Gliddon.

Mr Gliddon says the Transport Agency is still keen to hear from people on these concepts. It is a project that will change the way Aucklanders, and in particular those in the north and north western suburbs, get around and so it is really important to get public feedback as it will help shape the next stage.

“People have until the end of November to provide their input on these concepts as part of this first opportunity for feedback. They can email, call or drop into the Information Hub in Apollo Drive,” says Mr Gliddon.

The Transport Agency has setup the Northern Corridor Information Hub located at 33A Apollo Drive, Rosedale – open 9am to 4pm, Monday to Friday or via appointment. Alternatively you can get in touch via email northerncorridor@nzta.govt.nz or phone 0800 NCIPROJECT (0800 624 776).

The project is one of a number of key works included in the Government’s accelerated programme to improve the transport infrastructure in Auckland and help address the connection issues and pressures the Northern Motorway is facing and also support the growth of businesses and population in the area and beyond.
