A slip had closed SH6 at Omoeroa between the two glaciers in South Westland.
UPDATE - 4.50pm: The slip between the two South Westland glaciers has now been cleared and the road is open to two lanes of traffic.
The next update of this on the Transport Agency’s web page will be around 6 pm. Crews will be doing their best to clear it as soon as they can. Check our website later for an update(external link).
A slip at Omoeroa, in the Fox Hills, between Franz and Fox has closed the road.
Contractors are on site and equipment is en route.
The current public update time for the road closure is 6pm.
