Benefits

The result of the paint trials will lead to increased safety for road users and better value for money for road owners.

About this project

This test will show the Transport Agency which roadmarking materials will be tough enough to withstand New Zealand road and weather conditions, as well as which are bright enough to see in the daytime, reflect enough light at night to be easily seen and stay visible in wet conditions (day or night).

Paint trials are being conducted on State Highway 1 at Te Horo, and on Fergusson Drive in Upper Hutt.
