Construction webcams

The remote construction monitoring cameras on this project are a first for NZTA. EarthCam are the provider. The camaras capture hi-resolution images sevaral times an hour and immediately beam them back via satelite link to EarthCam where they are stored. Therefore the wider project team, NZTA and now our customers can see the latest progress. The images automatically capture the progress, and assist the project team and NZTA in managing the project. Eventually timelapse videos showing historical construction progress can be produced. Giving the public and our other customers a link to the latest progress images is part of NZTA's key objective to give more open and up to date access to information about it's projects.
