The State Highway 20 southbound on-ramp between Neilson Street and Gloucester Park Road is being upgraded to improve the safety and capacity for both commercial and residential drivers in the area.

Purpose

To improve the Neilson Street southbound on-ramp and help accommodate the growth within the area. It will also allow safer access, off State Highway 20 from the Neilson Street off-ramp to Gloucester Park Road for all drivers.

Benefits

  • Safer merging.
  • Safer traffic movement between vehicles coming off the motorway and those turning right onto Gloucester Park Road.

Project features

  • Two through lanes in both directions.
  • A westbound Truck/T2 lane onto the southbound on-ramp.
  • Flush median strip.

This is an area where freight movements are high and access to the airport is a priority for both commercial and residential drivers.
