Involving local boards, mana whenua and the community

Previous consultation

When the Supporting Growth programme began in 2015, Mana whenua, local boards, the public and a wide range of stakeholders were involved and consulted in two rounds of public feedback to help inform the development of a preferred network for each area. A summary of the results of this consultation is available in the Transport for Future Urban Growth Combined report. Feedback gained in this period helped inform the Preferred Transport Network Plans published in late 2016.

Upcoming consultation

In late 2018 a new round of consultation and a series of open days for each of the Warkworth, north, northwest and south growth areas will get underway. This consultation will seek feedback on the project options that are now being investigated for each of the items originally identified in the 2016 Preferred Transport Network Plans. It will also provide an update on what’s happened since 2016, Auckland Council’s Structure Planning process, and what the next steps are in the programme.
