Land Transport (Driver Licensing) Rule 1999

The Land Transport (Driver Licensing) Rule 1999 was made on 31st March 1999 and came into force on 3 May 1999.

What is incorporated material?

When a Land Transport Rule references external material, that material then becomes ‘incorporated’ into, and forms part of, that Land Transport Rule. Material that is referenced in a Land Transport Rule is usually referred to as ‘incorporated material’.

What version of the incorporated material applies?

Incorporated material often changes over time as it is updated by the person or organisation originating the material, in certain circumstances, the amended versions of the material will be the version that applies to the Land Transport Rule (even when the original version of the material is still referenced in the Rule). In the table below, Waka Kotahi has set out the originally referenced name of the incorporated material as it appears in the Rule, and the version of the material that currently applies to the Rule.

Incorporated material is provided for under section 165(external link) of the Land Transport Act 1998.
