Terms and conditions

1. NZTA reserves the right to cancel or amend these terms and conditions at any time without prior notice. Any changes will be displayed in a notice included on www.nzta.govt.nz and will be deemed to be incorporated into these terms and conditions.
2. To qualify for the promotion, a person (including a body corporate) must:
   • be a registered owner of a vehicle that is registered on the Motor Vehicle Register (or the registered person if the Land Transport Amendment Act 2009 comes into effect during the period of the promotion), and
   • relicense the vehicle on the NZTA's on-line Transaction Centre (www.nzta.govt.nz/transact), either by doing it themselves or by having another person doing it for them, during the period of the promotion.
3. Employees of NZTA and their immediate families (during any period of the promotion), are not eligible for entry into the promotion.
4. The promotion period commences at 12:00am on 25th June 2010 and closes at 11.59pm on 30 November 2010.
5. Each on-line relicensing for an eligible owner will automatically be entered into the next prize draw that will be held, but will not be entered into any subsequent prize draws.  An eligible owner who relicenses more than one vehicle, will be entered once in respect of each vehicle that is relicensed.
6. A prize draw will occur at 12:00pm on 1st August and again on the 1st of every subsequent month in 2010 (the final draw being on 1 December 2010).  All prize draws will be held at the Transport Registry Centre, Palmerston North and will be carried out by the NZTA in the presence of an independent representative.  For each prize draw, one on-line relicensing for a vehicle will be drawn by the NZTA, who will then identify, from the Motor Vehicle Register, the registered owner of that vehicle, who will win the prize.
7. Prizes are a cheque from the NZTA for NZ$1,000.  Prizes will be mailed to the address recorded on the Motor Vehicle Register (postal addresses will be used where they are recorded) for each winning owner.
8. The vehicle registration numbers of the winning owners' vehicles will appear on www.nzta.govt.nz from 2nd August 2010 and as they become available after that. A winning owner may be asked if they would like to participate in promotional publicity.
9. The NZTA's prize draw decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
10.   If for any reason this promotion is not capable of running as planned, including, but not limited to, infection by computer virus, technical failures or any other causes beyond the control of NZTA which corrupts or affects the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the promotion, NZTA reserves the right in its sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the promotion.
11.   NZTA will not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever suffered (including but not limited to direct, indirect or consequential loss) or personal injury suffered or sustained with either participation in this promotion or in connection with the prizes offered.
