The requirements
Your heavy vehicle must:
- meet applicable emissions standards
- be entry inspected
- be in roadworthy condition
- be a right-hand drive - but there are some exceptions
- be manufactured to meet a heavy-vehicle brakes standard
- be manufactured to meet other heavy-vehicle requirements, eg chassis rating, specialist certification
- be manufactured to meet other vehicle standards depending on its date of manufacture.
