Auckland overnight motorway closures 30 June - 6 July

The NZ Transport Agency advises of the following closures for motorway improvements. Closures start at 9pm and finish at 5am, unless otherwise stated. Work delayed by bad weather will be completed at the next available date, prior to Friday, 5 July.

Northern Motorway (SH1)

  • Southbound lanes between Esmonde Road off ramp and Onewa Road on ramp 2 - 4 July (approx 10:00p.m. to 5:00a.m.)
  •  Esmonde Road southbound on ramp 2 - 4 July (approx 9:30p.m. to 5:00a.m.)

Central Motorway Junction (SH1 & SH16)

  •  SH1 northbound to SH16 westbound link 30 June – 1 July (approx 10:00p.m. to 5:00a.m.)
  • (SH1) Fanshawe Street northbound on ramp 30 June

Southern Motorway (SH1)

  • Market Road northbound off ramp 1 July
  • Greenlane northbound off ramp 2 July (approx 10:00p.m. to 5:00a.m.)
  • Hill Road northbound on ramp 30 June
  • Northbound lanes between Takanini off ramp and Manukau on ramp 30 June (approx 10:00p.m. to 5:00a.m.)
  • Takanini northbound on ramp 30 June
  • Papakura northbound off ramp 2 - 3 July
  • Papakura northbound (loop) on ramp 2 – 3 July

Northwestern Motorway (SH16)

  • Newton Road westbound on ramp 30 June - 1 July
  • Great North Road westbound off ramp 30 June - 4 July
  • Great North Road westbound on ramp 30 June - 4 July
  • Lincoln Road eastbound on ramp 1 - 4 July
  • Royal Road eastbound on ramp 30 June - 4 July
  • Hobsonville Road eastbound on ramp 30 June - 4 July
  • Eastbound lanes between Brigham Creek Road roundabout and Lincoln Road on ramp 30 June
  • Eastbound lanes between Brigham Creek Road roundabout and Te Atatu Road on ramp 1 - 4 July

Upper Harbour Highway (SH18)

  • SH18 westbound to SH16 eastbound link 30 June - 4 July

Southwestern Motorway (SH20)

  • Neilson Street southbound on ramp 2 - 6 July
