Changes to agricultural vehicles rules announced

|

The NZ Transport Agency welcomes the announcement by Associate Transport Minister Michael Woodhouse to simplify the rules governing the use of agricultural vehicles on public roads.

The changes are the outcome of a 2011 review into the law regulating the 40,000 registered agricultural vehicles in New Zealand. The review was in response to the sector’s concerns that the law did not take into account the special nature of agricultural vehicles or the demands of agricultural production.
