Expect delays on SH1 north of Hunterville tomorrow

|

The NZ Transport Agency is advising motorists to expect delays on State Highway 1 north of Hunterville tomorrow, Thursday 20 June, as contractors work to remove a dangerous tree near the road.

A 300-metre section of State Highway 1, just north of the intersection with State Highway 54, will be closed for approximately 20 minutes between 9am and 10am.

There is no viable detour so motorists should expect delays while the road is closed. The Transport Agency is advising motorists to plan ahead.

Following the removal of the tree, the road will be opened to one lane, under stop/go traffic management, while contractors clean the road. This is expected to take up to two hours.

The Transport Agency thanks motorists for their patience and understanding.

Plan ahead for a safe, enjoyable journey. Keep up to date with:
