Labour weekend night works for Waioeka Bridge, Opotiki

|

Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency advises night works cleaning and painting on the Waioeka Bridge in Opotiki will continue over the Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights of Labour weekend.

Work will continue to be carried out between 7pm and 5am to minimise the impact on motorists. During this time the bridge will be reduced to a single lane with stop/go traffic management in place. Both lanes will be open during the day.

The bridge will be closed to over-dimension vehicles between 6pm and 6am on Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights. Over-dimension vehicles will need to restrict their travel on this route to outside these hours or consider an alternative route.

There will be no works on Monday night and the bridge will operate as normal. Overnight works will recommence on Tuesday 29 October from 6pm, with work due to be completed in mid-November.

Plan ahead for a safe, enjoyable journey this summer. Keep up to date with:
