Motorists advised to expect delays on SH2 Hawke’s Bay

|

Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency is advising motorists to expect some delays on State Highway 2 (SH2) in Central Hawke’s Bay as work continues on the College Road to Silverstream project.

Construction is underway on a road realignment with a new southbound passing lane on 1.7km of SH2 between College Road and Silverstream Station.

To ensure safety at the road works site where the new road meets the old road, for the next three weeks there will be stop/go traffic management in place, Monday to Saturday. There will also be a reduced speed limit through the site.

While every effort will be made to ensure delays do not exceed five minutes, motorists should be prepared for some delays. Waka Kotahi will be monitoring the situation and will reassess should the delays become excessive.

Plan ahead for a safe, enjoyable journey. Keep up to date with:
