|

Motorists are advised of delays at the Rakaia Gorge Bridge, State Highway 77, on Friday, 31 July, while bridge decking is replaced

Drivers may have to wait for up to 20 minutes between 8.30 am and 6.30 pm.

The NZ Transport Agency’s Journey Manager Lee Wright says electronic signs will warn drivers approaching the bridge of the work in progress.

“Motorists are warned they may face up to 20 minute delays and they should allow extra time for their journeys.

“This deck work is important from a safety and maintenance perspective and our contractors will ensure minimal disruption and delays. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.”
