Northland state highway maintenance works


The NZ Transport Agency advises drivers to be aware of night maintenance work at various locations on State Highway 1 in Northland during the next few days.

The work sites are:

State Highway 1 north

Whangarei: highway upgrade at SH1/SH14

Kauri: rail overbridge repairs

Larmer Road: drainage maintenance

Kawakawa – Whakapara: tree maintenance

Pakaraka: tree maintenance

Pakaraka – Cape Reinga: vegetation spraying

Otaika Stream Bridge: repairs

Warkworth (Goatley Road): repairs to highway surface

Waiharara: tree maintenance

Te Paki Stream – Paua Road: repairs to highway surface

Piano Hill – Puhipuhi: repairs to highway surface

Umawera: surveying

SH1/10: intersection upgrade

Drainage, vegetation maintenance and road marking at various locations

State Highway 10

Pakaraka – Awanui: road marking

Te Ahu Ahu: guardrail maintenance

Te Ahu Ahu Road: right turning bay upgrade

Kaeo: 50kph speed restriction

SH10/SH1: intersection upgrade

SH10/SH11 intersection upgrade

State Highway 11

Various locations: road marking

Lemons Hill, Opua, Te Haumi, Whangae: 50kph speed restriction – Chip Loss Sites

Waitangi: 70kph speed restriction – Chip Loss Site

Te Haumi: repairs to highway surface

Pahia, School Road: repairs to highway surface

SH11/SH10: intersection upgrade

Vegetation spraying at various locations
