Road repairs on SH3 north of New Plymouth get underway next week

|

Road repair work will get underway on State Highway 3 between Urenui and 8-Mile Junction (at the State Highway 4 turnoff) from Monday 13 September.

Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency advises crews will be on site between 4am and 6pm Monday to Friday for approximately 3-4 weeks (weather permitting).

Crews will be working on up to four locations at a time along the route. Stop/Go traffic management will be in place, with delays of approximately 5-15 minutes at each site.

Waka Kotahi urges motorists to plan ahead, allow extra time for their journeys and to follow the directions of traffic management staff and signs.

All operations will adhere to COVID-19 Alert Level restrictions.

This work is in preparation for resealing scheduled to be completed in the following months. The resealing works are part of a large programme of maintenance works on Taranaki state highways over the next 3-5 years.

Waka Kotahi thanks motorists for their patience.

Plan ahead for a safe, enjoyable journey. Keep up to date with:
