As part of the New Zealand Transport Agency’s ongoing commitment to maintaining the State Highway network, road surface investigation works will begin this Wednesday 20th and Thursday 21st March on State Highway 2 on the main street of Ngatea.

The NZ Transport Agency advises motorists that some areas of the road will be excavated during this time to see how the road can be improved.

The works will be from 6:00am to 7:00pm, and both lanes will be open however, there may be short periods of Stop/Go traffic management to move equipment around the site.

Property access will be maintained at all times.

This work is weather dependant and may need to be postponed.

The Transport Agency would like to thank motorists for their patience during this time.
