SH1 Ohau now open, to close at 10pm for repairs

Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency is advising that State Highway 1 at Ohau is now open following a fatal crash that closed the road between Manakau and Levin earlier today.

Traffic management is in place and motorists should continue to expect delays.

The road will be closed again from 10pm through to the early hours of Monday 23 December for full vehicle recovery and urgent repairs.

There is no detour route when the road is closed so motorists are advised to avoid the area and delay travel until the road is reopened.
