SH3 Bulls Bridge maintenance work gets underway this Wednesday

|

Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency is urging drivers to plan ahead for overnight maintenance work on the State Highway 3 Bulls Bridge which will be undertaken from Wednesday 10 August to Saturday 13 August.

The work was previously planned to begin on Tuesday 9 August, and has been re-scheduled to accommodate availability of the contractor.

The work will involve removing silt from under the footpath and is expected to take three nights to complete.

Contractors will start work at 6pm each night and finish at 6am the next morning. During this time the bridge will be down to one lane with stop/go traffic management in place.

People are advised to plan ahead and expect delays of between 10 and 20 minutes or to time their travel for outside the work period, where possible.

In the event of bad weather, work will be moved to the next fine day.

Waka Kotahi thanks everyone for their patience and understanding while this important work is underway.
