SH5 Rotorua CLOSED due to serious crash


The NZ Transport Agency advises motorists that a section of State Highway 5 (SH5) in Rotorua is CLOSED due to a serious crash.

Emergency services are at the scene near Waipa State Mill Rd and motorists are urged to avoid the area as traffic is building.

The Transport Agency says a detour via SH5, SH1 and SH30 is in place however it will add approximately 1.5 hours to normal travel time.

The road is expected to be closed for a few hours.
