Tauranga Eastern Link works affect Kairua Road next week


The NZ Transport Agency advises that Kairua Road will be closed to traffic early next week.

Update - 12 May 2014: Due to weather, Kairua Road will now be closed tomorrow, Wednesday May 13 from 9am and 4pm.

Kairua Road will be closed as follows: Monday 11 and Tuesday 12 May between 9am and 4pm, with the off-ramp from State Highway 2 closing from 7am.

Drivers are encouraged to use the alternative route via SH2 and Welcome Bay Road.  

As part of the Tauranga Eastern Link project, the construction team will be doing the final placement of asphalt in the area.

These works are weather dependent. The Transport Agency apologises for any inconvenience
