The NZ Transport Agency advises motorists of the following travel advice for Monday 25 May for the Hikoi in the Auckland Central Business District.

The NZ Transport Agency advises motorists of the following travel advice for Monday 25 May for the Hikoi in the Auckland Central Business District:

  • Delays are expected during the morning peak on Monday for those travelling to the city. This includes motorists travelling on the Auckland Harbour Bridge, Southern, Northern and Northwestern Motorways.
  • To help prevent further delays, please avoid travelling into the city if you can, or use public transport
  • If you have to travel, please leave earlier than normal or delay your travel until after the peak period (between 8am – 10am)
  • If you're travelling to the airport, please leave extra time for your journey

The NZ Transport Agency will be optimising traffic signals at key intersections to help minimise congestion.
