The main planned state highway roadworks occurring in the region over the coming week (23 October 2022).

State Highway 1

• Wellington, Vivian Street between Taranaki Street and Kent Terrace
  • Monday night, 10pm-5.30am
  • Tuesday to Thursday nights, 7pm-5.30am
  • Southbound one lane closed for path upgrades
• Between Tawa interchange and Linden
  • Tuesday to Thursday nights, 7pm-5.30am
  • Northbound one lane closed for wall installation
• Transmission Gully Motorway, north of State Highway 58 interchange
  • Wednesday to Friday during the day, 5am-3pm
  • Northbound one lane closed for rock channel works
• Te Horo northbound passing lane CLOSED
  • From Friday night 21 October to Monday night 24 October, day/night
  • Northbound passing lane closed for traffic safety through the Labour Weekend
• Between Te Horo and North of Ōtaki
  • Altered lane layouts day/night for project works

State Highway 59

• Porirua, Titahi Bay southbound OFFRAMP CLOSED
  • Tuesday night for a brief period between 9pm-4.30am
  • Detour via Porirua interchange
• Between Porirua and Transmission Gully Motorway interchange
  • Southbound one lane closed day/night during the week for project works
• South of Paremata roundabout
  • Wednesday to Friday during the day, 8am-4pm
  • Southbound one lane closed for barrier installation
• Pukerua Bay, southern end
  • Thursday night, 7pm-5.30am
  • Stop/go traffic control for resurfacing

State Highway 2

• Lower Hutt, south of the Melling Link intersection
  • Tuesday to Thursday nights, 7pm-5.30pm
  • One lane closed each direction for drilling works
• Lower Hutt, north and south of Kennedy Good Bridge intersection
  • Tuesday to Thursday nights, 7pm-5.30
  • One Lane closed each direction for traffic signal upgrades

State Highway 58

• Haywards Hill to Pauatahanui
  • Tuesday to Friday during the day, 9am-3pm
  • Stop/go traffic control for project works
• Haywards Hill
  • One lane closed for slip clearing works

• Between Carterton and Masterton
  • Northbound and southbound passing lanes closed day/night for safety improvement project works

State Highway 53

• Featherston, Revans Street, between Wallace and Donald Street
  • Friday during the day, 9am-3pm
  • Stop/go traffic control for road repairs
