The details below outline the main planned state highway roadworks occurring in the region over the coming week (beginning 16 October 2022).

Wellington, Porirua, Kāpiti and Hutt state highways

State Highway 1

  • Wellington, Cobham Drive
    Monday night, 7pm-5.30am
    One lane closed each direction for project work
  • Wellington, Vivian Street between Taranaki Street and Kent Terrace
    Sunday to Thursday nights, 7pm-5.30am
    Southbound one lane closed for path upgrades
  • Between Tawa interchange and Linden
    Tuesday to Thursday nights, 7pm-5.30am
    Northbound one lane closed for wall installation
  • Transmission Gully Motorway, north of State Highway 58 interchange
    Tuesday to Thursday during the day, 5am-3pm
    Northbound one lane closed for rock channel works
  • Te Horo northbound passing lane CLOSED
    From Friday night 21 October to Monday night 24 October, day/night
    Northbound passing lane closed for traffic safety through the Labour Weekend
