The NZ Transport Agency will begin preparatory work on the northern (Onehunga) side of SH20 Mangere Bridge from Wednesday 1 October. The work, which will involve the establishment of two site offices, is part of progress on the SH20 Manukau Harbour Crossing project.
The final section of the 2.9 km additional northbound motorway lane on SH1 between Northcote and Sunnynook will open to traffic later this week following final inspections.
Weather permitting, the closures will take place on the Northern Motorway (SH1) from 10pm Friday 12 to 5am Monday 15 September (contingency Friday 19 to Monday 22 September).
The Northern Motorway (SH1) Onewa Road northbound and southbound on-ramps will be closed from 10pm on Friday 12 September until 5am on Monday 15 September.

The NZ Transport Agency will close the north and southbound Onewa Road on-ramps to the Northern Motorway (SH1) at 10pm this Friday 12 September to put the finishing touches on a new on-ramp bridge for southbound traffic. The ramps will reopen at 5am on Monday 15 September.
