The NZ Transport Agency advises there will be speed and lane reductions on the new gateway bridge for about 8 weeks from Monday 19 February. Lane reductions will only occur over the weekend and SH1 will remain open.
A stretch of Auckland’s State Highway 16, between Brigham Creek and Waimauku is set to get a $53million upgrade that will include a new roundabout, extra lanes, safety barriers to prevent head-on crashes and more space for pedestrians and cyclists.
The NZ Transport Agency advises of the following closures for motorway improvements. Closures start at 9pm and finish at 5am, unless otherwise stated. Work delayed by bad weather will be completed at the next available date, prior to Friday, 16th February 2018. Please note this Traffic Bulletin is updated every Friday.
The NZ Transport Agency is advising drivers that detours will be in place overnight on Wednesday and Thursday (February 7 and 8) to allow for night-time surfacing work on SH1 (West Street) in Ashburton, between Havelock Street and Moore Street.
