Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency is reminding motorists that multiple worksites are active on State Highway 30/Te Ngae Road, between Sala Street and Iles Road in Rotorua this week, as part of the Eastern Corridor Stage One project.
The summer construction season may be over, but Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency says locals and motorists can expect to see a lot of activity on the iconic Forgotten World Highway (State Highway 43) during winter.
One of Rotorua’s busiest intersections will be safer and easier to use from next week, with the new traffic lights at the State Highway 30/Tarawera Road intersection due to be turned on in the second week of the school holidays.
Work to keep Taranaki state highways in a safe condition doesn’t stop just because its winter. Crews will be out in force over the coming months monitoring the state highway network and making temporary repairs, including filling potholes and asphalting sections of highway.
