With school holidays about to begin and winter weather moving across the South Island, Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency encourages people driving to new places to plan and allow extra time for everyone’s safety.
Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency and Gisborne District Council have completed the most significant component of the Gisborne-wide asphalting programme, with the asphalting and resurfacing of the Gladstone Road bridge deck and replacement of the deck joints. Structural repairs to the underside of the bridge have also been completed.
Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency, together with Waikato Regional Council and Hamilton City Council, are planning changes to SH3 Ōhaupō Road in Glenview to support a new bus hub and to improve safety and connections for people who are walking and cycling.

State Highway 54 Kairanga Bunnythorpe Road will be closed between the intersections of State Highway 3 Rangitikei Line and Milson Line in Palmerston North for five days beginning Monday 11 July for maintenance.
