Auckland Transport and the NZ Transport Agency have today announced a preferred route for the fourth and final section of the Glen Innes to Tamaki Drive Shared Path. The route is being made public ahead of consultation in September on this section of the seven kilometre path.

The NZ Transport Agency is advising work to replace the Horoera Bridge leading to the historic East Cape lighthouse will now begin on Monday, 7 August. The work was delayed last month following a dropout on East Coast Road which meant contractors were unable to access the site.
