The NZ Transport Agency is seeking feedback on its proposal to permanently reduce the speed limit from 100km/h to 80km/h, to improve safety on the 2.3km section of State Highway 6 from Stalker Road to Hardware Lane in Frankton, including past the Tucker Beach Road intersection.

A serious crash one kilometre south of Shenandoah, State Highway 65, south of Murchison, the alternate state highway route between Picton and Christchurch, has reduced the highway to one lane at that point this morning.
