The NZ Transport Agency is urging motorists to plan ahead for travel to and from Anzac events this weekend. However, it is also reminding holidaymakers to be aware of hotspots on the highways north of Wellington – especially north of Ōtaki on Monday.
Work has started on the Nelson Street Cycle Route linking Upper Queen Street to Quay Street via the disused Nelson Street off-ramp. The proposed cycle route will connect to the north-western and Grafton Gully cycleways, providing easier and safer access to and from the city centre.
The NZ Transport Agency advises motorists travelling on State Highway 2 (SH2) between Tauranga and Papamoa to expect delays this week as contractors continue work on the Tauranga Eastern Link Toll Road.
