Marlborough residents and regular users of State Highway 6 between Blenheim and Nelson must remember to add extra travel time to their journeys on Sunday, 21 April.
NZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi (NZTA) is reopening a section of SH6 in South Westland between the two glacier towns at 3 pm today. SH6 between Fox and Franz Josef Glacier towns has been closed all day due to a slip caused by the heavy overnight rain.
Due to the weather and tidal conditions forecast for Nelson, it’s anticipated State Highway 6 Rocks Road in Nelson will need to be closed between 10 pm and 2 am tomorrow night (Thursday, 11 April).
