Operation Waltz - a night time vehicle check recently undertaken jointly by NZ Transport Agency and the Rotorua Road Police Unit of NZ Police found less than fancy warrant of fitness (WOF) compliance in some of the 552 vehicles inspected.
State Highway 6, between Haast and Makarora, will re-open to single-lane traffic at noon today (Tuesday 1 October) after being closed at the weekend when 20,000 tonnes of rock and gravel fell onto the highway at Diana Falls.
