Good progress is being made on the SH88 Dunedin to Port Chalmers Safety Improvements project, which includes completing the final leg of the shared path from St Leonards to Port Chalmers, says Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency Senior Project Manager Jason Forbes.
Traffic on State Highway 3 near the Awakino Tunnel will be stopped for around 20 – 30 minutes at about 1pm on Sunday 14 June to allow for a controlled explosion to crack a large rock near the road.
Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency advises State Highway 2 will be closed at the Pekatahi Bridge north of Taneatua between 11am and 1pm on Wednesday next week (17 June) for a bridge inspection.
Waka Kotahi advises the Waiotahi effluent disposal site on State Highway 2 will be closed for an upgrade from Monday (15 June) to the following Friday (26 June).
UPDATE (7 June 2020): Takaka Hill road, SH60, the road link between Tasman Bay and Golden Bay, will be closed to traffic between 9pm and 5am Monday and Tuesday next week, 8 and 9 June, says Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency.

Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency advises that State Highway 2 will be closed at Ngatea with a detour in place from 9am to 3pm on Friday 5 June to allow the bridge over the Piako River to be resurfaced with asphalt.
