Repair work means motorists will have limited overnight access across the Kawarau Falls Bridge on State Highway 6 between Frankton and Kelvin Heights for about a month from this Sunday night 23 May 2010.
Close to 500 truck drivers now have a much better idea of how to avoid a roll over crash on a corner thanks to a recent heavy motor vehicle roll over awareness day held on State Highway 1 north of Christchurch recently.
Southbound traffic has eased following the opening of a new left turn slip lane from SH1into Whitaker Road. The improvement is part of the NZ Transport Agency and Rodney District Council’s Stage 1 Warkworth project to improve travel times and ease congestion in and around the area.
The layout of roads and footpaths at the busy Victoria Street West and Franklin Road intersection in central Auckland are being changed so that construction of the NZ Transport Agency’s Victoria Park tunnel can start at the intersection.
