The NZ Transport Agency says completion of Auckland's Western Ring Route marks a significant milestone tonight (Sunday 30 September) with the start of enabling works at Waterview at the northern end of the Waterview Connection project.
The NZ Transport Agency says unstable areas high up on a slip site that came down this afternoon on State highway six about 6km south of Makarora near Wanaka, will see this section of highway closed from 7pm tonight until 7am tomorrow, 27 September.

More relief is at hand for Manawatū motorists. The NZ Transport Agency is advising motorists that State Highway 3 through the Manawatū Gorge is opening up to all traffic at all times, although some onsite restrictions will remain.
Motorists will see a key milestone on the Tauranga Eastern Link (TEL) project take place this week, as piling starts for the two Domain Road interchange bridges. The NZ Transport Agency says the Domain Road interchange is one of the most complex structures to build on the TEL project.
