Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency has confirmed that new permanent speed limits and variable speed limits for school zones will be introduced on State Highway 6 between Blenheim and Nelson from Friday, 18 December 2020.
The collective efforts of Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency, KiwiRail, the North Canterbury Transport Infrastructure Recovery (NCTIR) alliance and Te Rūnanga o Kaikōura to restore and improve Kaikōura’s transport networks following the devastating November 2016 earthquake have been recognised at the Public Services Commission Spirit of Service Awards.
To improve road safety, Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency is installing a roundabout at the intersection of Rapaura Road (SH62) with State Highway 6 (SH6), north-west of Blenheim.
