The NZ Transport Agency advises of the following closures for motorway improvements. Closures start at 9pm and finish at 5am, unless otherwise stated. Work delayed by bad weather will be completed at the next available date, prior to Friday, 30 March.

High winds and fallen trees have caused the closure of a section of State Highway 5 near Taupo. The road will remain closed overnight, because ongoing high winds in the area mean contractors will not be able to clear the road until the winds die down.
The final programme of works to complete the Victoria Park Tunnel project in central Auckland is now underway and the NZ Transport Agency says it plans to have the third lane through the 450 metre-long tunnel opened next Monday (26 March).
