The NZ Transport Agency has selected a preferred option for a new State Highway 3 route to replace the closed Manawatū Gorge, connecting the Manawatū, Tararua District, Hawke’s Bay and northern Wairarapa regions.
A short detour will be in place for people travelling north on State Highway 1 between Mosgiel and Dunedin from 6pm tonight (Friday, 9 March) until 7pm on Sunday, 11 March, to allow contractors to work on a safety upgrade.
