The NZ Transport Agency took one of its final steps to complete Auckland’s Western Ring Route with a ceremony today to mark the start of construction to improve the Te Atatu Interchange on the Northwestern Motorway (State Highway 16).
More than 10,000 wick drains have been “planted” beside the causeway on Auckland’s Northwestern Motorway (State Highway 16) to help remove sea water from thick mud as part of the NZ Transport Agency’s Causeway Upgrade Project.
The NZ Transport Agency says workers at Auckland’s Waterview Connection project raised almost $4000 for the victims of Typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines through an on-line auction featuring Alice, the project’s giant tunnel boring machine.
