Major maintenance works are planned for Wellington’s urban motorway next month, meaning drivers will have to plan ahead for getting in and out of the CBD.
Night works are planned early next month that will see State Highway 1 Ngauranga Gorge closed to southbound traffic between Johnsonville southbound offramp and Ngauranga Interchange.
People travelling on SH2 through Petone, need to prepare for several night-time road closures next week, weather permitting. Detours will be available through Lower Hutt.
UPDATE 15 January: An extra night of resurfacing work has been scheduled on the Wellington Urban Motorway between the Aotea Quay onramp and the Ngauranga Interchange.
Update: 20 December - Urgent road repair works near Ravensdown on State Highway 2 between Masterton and Carterton are now complete and the road is open to traffic in both directions.
