It’s well known that the Waikato region is a fantastic place to be during the colder months of the year, especially with the ski fields on Mt Ruapehu set to open early July.
Due to poor weather conditions, the work which was due to commence on Sunday 13 February, was postponed, and will now begin on Sunday 20 February and take place over two consecutive weeks.
The NZ Transport Agency is urging drivers in Waikato and Bay of Plenty to be aware over the next week of potentially hazardous ‘summer ice’ on the region’s roads.
