Two lanes in peak remain for remainder of Raumati Straights works The NZ Transport Agency is advising that the next stage of the Raumati Straights Upgrade is due to begin early next week. Two lanes will continue to be open during peak hours on State Highway 1 between Mackays Crossing and Raumati for the remainder for the upgrade works.
The NZ Transport Agency says a helicopter carrying a monsoon bucket will drop thousands of litres of water above State Highway 2 (SH2) in the Waioeka Gorge today to help clear a major slip that is blocking most of the road.
The NZ Transport Agency advises of the following closures for motorway improvements. Closures start at 9pm and finish at 5am, unless otherwise stated. Work delayed by bad weather will be completed at the next available date, prior to Friday, 17 June 2016. Please note this Traffic Bulletin is updated every Friday.
