Traffic travelling on State Highway 1, through Rangiriri next Wednesday (20 November) are advised to expect delays as the commemoration of 150 years since the Battle of Rangiriri will take place in the area, says the NZ Transport Agency.
The NZ Transport Agency is advising motorists that due to the 2013 World Rafting Championships being held on Thursday and Friday, 21 and 22 November at Okere Falls on SH33. Speed restrictions and stop/go traffic management will be in place.
The NZ Transport Agency is advising motorists planning to travel along State Highway 29 near Soldiers Road and Ngamuwahine that Stop/Go traffic management will be in place this Wednesday (18 September), due to road surface repairs, which start from 9.00am and expected to finish around 4.00pm.

The NZ Transport Agency is advising motorists to take care and suggests using an alternate route via State Highway 33 and State Highway 2 when travelling between Rotorua and Tauranga as there is a significant amount of loose chipseal on State Highway 36 between the Mangorewa Gorge and the Roy Rd intersection, due to recent road surfacing operations.
The NZ Transport Agency advises drivers that the Southbound on-ramp at Nikau Rd to State Highway 1 on the Bombay Hills will be closed tonight, 6 November for necessary guard-rail repair work.
Work will begin this week on upgrading State Highway 39A, Te Kowhai and Limmer Roads, west of Hamilton. SH39A connects SH39 with the Te Rapa Section of the Waikato Expressway, which opened in December 2012.
